Water
Council Bluffs Water Works draws from the Missouri River and the Missouri River alluvium and lime-softens about 60 to 70% of the water, blending it with unsoftened water. Its water quality page lists finished-water hardness of 160 mg/L at its Narrows plant and 173 mg/L at Council Point, roughly 9 to 10 grains per gallon. Those are plant figures for the whole system, not a test of one house.

A shower base installation alongside a new black shower valve was requested to enhance the bathroom's functionality and aesthetics. We expertly set the shower base and installed a rain head and handheld wall unit, complete with a diverter, ensuring a sleek and modern upgrade. The project was carried out in Council Bluffs, IA, utilizing high-quality materials to guarantee durability.
A persistent blockage in the kitchen sink prompted us to investigate thoroughly. After attempting to clear the line with a Kenway through the trap and venting from the roof, we determined that re-piping was necessary. We replaced approximately 10 feet of the 1 1/2" galvanized line with new 1 1/2" PVC, ensuring proper drainage flow was restored.
